Child Protection is a highly specialised field and often Designated Safeguarding Teams feel more comfortable accessing outside trainers to provide this training. Keeping children safe in education (September 2020) states that staff are to receive an annual update on Child Protection and Safeguarding.
We can work with all staff and provide a complete update to cover all new legislation, latest trends and issues.

COURSE DELIVERY:
The Prevent Duty guidance (June 2015) refers to the importance of Prevent awareness training to equip staff to identify children at risk of being drawn into terrorism and to develop confidence in challenging extremist views.
This interactive session explores the context of the Prevent Duty within education, including clear and concise guidance around the ‘due regard’ to the duty – as well as an exploration of the implementation of the ‘British vales’ in practice.

COURSE DELIVERY:
In ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children (July 2018)’ all settings are advised of their organisational responsibility from Section 11 of the Children Act 2004:
'Chapter 2'“…practitioners should be given sufficient time, funding, SUPERVISION and support to fulfil their child welfare and safeguarding responsibilities effectively. …appropriate SUPERVISION and support for staff, including undertaking safeguarding training.”
ECP provides this specialist supervision by NSPCC-trained staff with over 20 years’ experience in the field of child protection. This will enable professionals to reflect on their own practice and the impact of cases on both the victim and themselves as frontline staff who work with those children who have suffered abuse.
