Safeguarding Audits

ECP provide in-house safeguarding audits within education settings – covering a range of priority areas.

Whether you are looking for a general safeguarding audit or want to focus on a specific area like Child on Child Abuse or being Ofsted ready, please do call us to talk through your needs. We offer highly bespoke audits and are here to help.

    • Audits are developed on a bespoke basis, as outlined above or in response to incidents as they arise.
What does an audit involve?
  • Pre-audit telephone consultation to agree on priority areas of focus for the audit
  • 1 day on site with ECP’s safeguarding consultant gathering evidence
  • 1 day producing summary report, action plan and sharing recommendations

I am pleased to write this endorsement of ECP, its work and its personnel. ECP has conducted 4 x one day audits at each of our Primary schools. The feedback from Headteachers has been uniformly positive, declaring the days to have been forensic in the detailed approach but also supportive in nature. The list of recommendations at the end of each report is most helpful and, as one colleague commented, “If only OFSTED could be like this!” Additionally one of the ECP team, Heather McDade, conducted a three hour safeguarding session for 160 teaching and non-teaching staff in April which was universally acclaimed as knowledgeable and informative, the delivery described as ‘fantastic’.

Child on CHILD Audits

Our Child on Child audits give school leaders the opportunity to reflect on Child on Child Abuse and to consider your strategic priorities moving forward.
Our CHILD On CHILD audit will support you with:
  • Being Ofsted ready in this vital area of safeguarding.

  • Providing strategic time to consider priorities and develop an action plan.

  • Gives you access to our ECP Child on Child  audit tool which can shape your next steps.


How does
it work?
  • We will deliver a group facilitation session with your Senior Leadership or Safeguarding Team.
  • You will just need to work out a convenient time for you and your team and then contact ECP via the ‘Book Now’ button to agree a date for your session.
