Child Protection Refresher Day for Designated Personnel

This one day refresher course is suitable for practising designated teachers in schools, who have completed their designated personnel training a year ago or more.

The Refresher Course will have a different series of topics every year, which would keep participants up to date with the latest developments in child protection research and practice.

This offers the opportunity for trained professional to refresh skills and knowledge and keep abreast of all current initiatives. Recent courses have been geared to give an educational response to the new multi-agency ‘Framework for the Assessment of Children in Need and their Families’ and the government directives in ‘Working Together to Safeguard Children’.

Course content, aims and learning outcomes for these specialised courses would be tailor-made to suit the needs and interests of each county / LEA.
